We were informed by Hong Kong Post that postal delay is to be expected because of the increasing shipping activities.  The delay was caused by the insufficient freight cargo space and result in a 1-2 weeks delay of airmail parcels to Brazil, Russia, US and certain European countries.  Hong Kong Post is looking for solutions regarding the situation and customers are advised to adopt EMS for prompt delivery.  rcMart will keep watch with Hong Kong Post for the updated information, as well as looking for alternative shipping means.

The situation might be worse during X’mas and New Year peak season and customers are advised to arrange early posting. Please expect parcels to take 1-2 weeks longer than normal delivery.  Packages received by Hong Kong Post might not be updated with tracking number instantly.

The situation of recent postal delay from Hong Kong Post is getting aggravated.  Numerous of concerns have been received regarding this issue and rcMart strieves to work out the solution.  To ensure all the orders to be deliverd on time, rcMart will provide a FREE upgrade during this special period (from 5th December - 28th December).  All retail orders over USD$150 (net of shipping) will be upgraded from Airmail Parcel to EMS shippign automatically*.  The offer will last until 28th December 2009, further notice will be announced sujects to the situation and all updates can be found in the RSS news.

Last dates to post Christmas airmail 2009

Hongkong Post yesterday (November 9) announced the last dates of posting for this year’s Christmas airmail. To ensure that the airmail items are delivered before Christmas, customers are requested to post their items on or before the relevant last dates of posting. These dates are displayed at all counter offices. Alternatively, customers may find the information on Hongkong Post’s website at (www.hongkongpost.com).

Please note that delivery time may be extended due to coming postal peak season.  rcMart advises customers to adopt EMS shipping during this season and please place your order as early as possible to ensure prompt shipment.
