3.5mm Rod End and Front bumper & Skid Plate for the HPI Baja 5B Launched by RPM

RC Parts’ durabilities are always big concerns for the motorists; therefore, we are please to announce the stocking of the new 3.5mm Rod End manufactured by RPM. The product allows the use of larger than stock 3.5mm turnbuckles while still using a standard 4.3mm (.170”) diameter ball stud, common to most 1/10^th scale Losi, Associated and some HPI vehicles. Now anyone can run a stronger 3.5mm turnbuckle size without having to sacrifice strength or durability with an inferior rod end.

In addition, new front bumper & Skid Plate for the HPI Baja 5B have also been launched by RPM, which are capable of reducing impact energy in half.

Minor tweaks have been made to the stock design, improving strength and durability, keeping your rear end in one piece when things get out of hand. Our smoothly contoured shapes not only make our rear bumper design stronger, but also make it look much more finished and aesthetically appealing. Additionally, all stock geometry is retained. We even retained the stock exhaust pipe support wire mounting hole and shelf for those running the HPI aluminum tuned exhaust pipe (HPI #86690).

RPM rear bumpers for the 5B & 5T are inexpensive protection for expensive aftermarket pipes as well. If you spent a small fortune on a tuned pipe that relies on the rear bumper for protection, shouldn’t you depend on a name that has become synonymous with crash survivability? Just a short time ago, RPM engineers designed new rear bearing carriers for the HPI Blitz and Firestorm lines of vehicles that incorporated 5×11mm bearings, improving durability and performance significantly. That same bearing size is now available for the front end of those same vehicles! RPM In-Line Steering Blocks incorporate a 5×11mm bearing, which has nearly twice the dynamic load rating as the stock 5×10mm bearing. That’s nearly twice the muscle to make a strong truck nearly bulletproof!
